Idiopathic Scoliosis and Its Natural History
This lecture looks at the natural history of idiopathic scoliosis, beginning with the behaviour of this curve through various stages of skeletal maturity. The various health related outcome parameters in adulthood are then examined. The follow up of patients who were either neglected or had been managed conservatively is discussed, followed by the cosmetic impairment, and also the life threatening issues, including cardiac and pulmonary function.
