This spine surgery lecture looks at imaging of late complications of spinal surgery. As the complications are mainly union related and hardware failure, the author takes an in-depth view into the imaging modalities for these problems. The late complications that are clinically encountered are covered, which include oesophageal perforation, arachnoiditis and presence of fluid at the laminectomy site. The lecture also includes a discussion of strategies to limit the economical and radiation impact without compromising the information which is needed.
