What you will cover in this lecture

In this lecture, the classification systems used to describe spondylolisthesis, and its appearance on the imaging modalities, are discussed. The role of CT is described in detail with reference to using the minimum possible dose for adequate visualisation of pathology. The issue of dynamic instability is discussed with reference to the standard imaging modalities along with the dynamic MRI. The concepts presented in this lecture are clarified using clinical cases with classical appearance.

Learning Objectives

  1. To understand basic pathophysiology
  2. To have basic working knowledge for classification
  3. Select appropriate imaging modality for the suited case
