Lecture: Spine Surgery Postoperative Wound Problems
This lecture looks at postoperative wound problems arising from spine surgery. It covers the soft tissue problems which cannot be solved with simple routine wound care. The underlying causes and the importance of taking precautionary measures whenever possible are discussed. The use of various regional vascularised muscular flaps which help rescue the patients when conventional treatment is impossible to bring the favorable results is covered. The muscular flaps are demonstrated using complicated cases with excellent photographs, from the planning phase to the healed phase.
